Being the leading business platform in Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe, MIMS Automechanika Moscow once again confirmed the status of high-profile event for representatives of the automotive aftermarket industry.

1,323 companies from 41 countries presented their goods, services and solutions over the total exhibition area exceeding 47,000 m2. Record number of participants and increase in the exhibition space are 37% higher than the same indicators of 2016, 2015 and 2014, and are second only to the historic high of 2013. The quantitative composition of the exhibitors is also the best result for the last five years.

The presented sections of the exhibition: Automotive Parts and Automotive Components/ Accessories and Tuning/ Auto electrics and Auto Electronics/ Car Wash and Car Care/ Repair and Service of Automobiles/ Management and Information Technology in auto business.

The leading companies of the industry among the exhibitors demonstrated their best goods and services:

Brembo, Bosch, Contitech, Dayco, Fenox, Gates, Isnext.ru, JP Group, KYB, Mann&Hummel, Optibelt, PSH, Schaeffler Group, TEXA, TMD Friction, Valeo, Varta, ZF, АКОМ, VolgaAvtoProm, TD “BILAIT”, GAZ Group, Dunfan, Carville, Lada-Image, Livni Avtofiltry, Marcon, Mercedes, Motorline, “Nachalo” Production Association, “TANDEM” Group of Companies, Shate-M Plus, Equinet and others.

Companies from Germany, Italy, France, Korea, Turkey, Taiwan and Singapore demonstrated the latest developments and trends in the automotive aftermarket at the stands of the country pavilions.

25,965 professionals from 66 countries and 79 regions of Russia attended the exhibition. This is a record figure for all six years of holding exhibition in the Central Exhibition Complex “Expocentre”, which is 16% higher compared to the previous year.

Chains Wholesale CenterTM: Automotive Goods and Spare Parts - a new format for B2B negotiations between Chinese suppliers of goods and services for automotive aftermarket industry and representatives of purchasing networks and wholesale companies was launched within the framework of the exhibition for the first time.

Chains Wholesale CenterTM involved 40 profile chains, importers and dealerships, including AMIWA (Samsung Motors), UAB Avexim (ASK Automotive), Impex Group/ Arkuda, Carmine Avto, Svetofor RLS, Euro Auto (Amtel), Pantus, Mir Avto and 470 large manufacturers from Asia. 700 talks have been held on business supplies.

More than 350 companies presented automotive parts and solutions for truck transport within the framework of “Truck competence” project.

For the first time, MIMS Automechanika Moscow hosted an open training of the World Skills Russia national team for professional skills in two competencies: “Repair and service of cars” and “Body repair”. Organizer: “Young Professionals (World skills Russia)” in cooperation with ITEMF EXPO.

Professional skills were demonstrated in replacement of brake pads and tyre balancing within the framework of the contest “The Best Auto Mechanic” and “The Best Tyre Fitter". The contest was organized by the “Kuzov” magazine.

The companies KYB and Turkish Association of Automobile Exporters Uludag (OIB) were the sponsors of the exhibition.

The official Internet partner was the auto portal auto.ru - one of the most visited automobile websites over the Russian Internet.

For the first time ever the 8th International Moscow Automobile Forum (IMAF 2017) was held during two days. For the twentieth time the Forum exceeded all expectations for the number of participants: this year the IMAF gathered more than 220 representatives of companies specializing in the field of automobile construction.

Representatives of state structures and top management of companies-automakers including AvtoVAZ, KIA Motors Rus, as well as representatives of the companies “Autostat”, DLA Piper, KPMG in Russia and the CIS delivered their reports.

There were also topics devoted to technological development trends in the automobile industry, reports on development of unmanned vehicles industry and innovations in electric vehicle technologies. Representatives of Deloitte, T-Systems International Gmbh, Detecon International GmbH, independent entrepreneur “GLONASS” and joint-stock company “Electronic Passport “have been involved in this block.

The second day of the Forum was devoted to the topic “Localization. The views of purchasers and suppliers”. Representatives of ARNPO, Continental Automotive Rus, Avtotor Holding, Peugeot Citroen Rus, Takata Corporation, Gestamp, Association of Machine Building Enterprises “Cluster of the Automotive Industry of the Samara Region” and Visteon Avtopribor Electronics took part in the discussions.

The IMAF events have been completed by already traditional session of direct negotiations of automakers and wholesale buyers with suppliers. AVTOVAZ RENAULT NISSAN PURCHASING ORGANISATION, Daimler KAMAZ RUS, Ford Sollers, Renault Russia, Peugeot Citroen Rus, Avtotor Holding, Continental Automotive Rus, Cluster of the automotive industry of Samara region and Visteon Avtopribor Electronics became participants of B2B meetings. There were more than 60 business meetings.

The conference “Auto Service-2017” devoted to discussions of topical problems in car service was held within the framework of the exhibition for the first time. The organizers: ITEMF Expo and AMCONFERENCE (with the support of Autostat).

More than 200 experts of service centers, dealership networks and independent services discussed topical issues of the industry.

More than 20 hot topics covered by key industry speakers were voiced at the open conference floor AGORA. 198 representatives of companies-exhibitors and consummate professionals took part in the work of the conference floor.

In 2018, the 22nd Moscow International Exhibition of Automotive Parts, Components, Car Maintenance Equipment and Products MIMS Automechanika Moscow will be held from August 27th through September 30th at the Expocentre Fairgrounds.
