The 15-th International Commercial Vehicle Show COMTRANS 2019 was held in Moscow.

266 manufacturers of trucks, LCVs, buses, special and municipal equipment, automotive components and spare parts from 15 countries participated in the exhibition. The number of professional visitors for the first time in the history of COMTRANS exceeded 19 000.

The exhibition was supported by: the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Department of transport and development of road transport infrastructure of Moscow, the Association of European Businesses (AEB), the Transport Association of the Moscow Agglomeration (TAMA), and the International Road Transport Union (IRU).

Denis Manturov, Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation, visited COMTRANS on the opening day. During the tour, the Minister said: "Now there is the technological transformation of the automotive industry — the main producers of commercial vehicles have already signed long-term special investment contracts. Thus, we enter a new stage of development of this segment. The focus of this work will be on the greening of urban commercial vehicles, primarily through the use of natural gas and electric powertrain technologies. In addition, our manufacturers are already testing driver assistance systems, given the impending trend in driverless technologies."
