On January 11, 2017 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, Messe Frankfurt and the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs for the Textile and Light Industry (Souzlegprom) agreed on their Strategic Partnership.
The following representatives took part in the signing ceremony: Andrey Razbrodin, President of Souzlegprom, Member of the Civil Chamber of the Russian Federation, Olaf Schmidt, Vice-President of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, Eugen Alles, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt RUS, Detlef Braun, member of the board of management Messe Frankfurt, as well as variety of representatives of leading domestic and foreign companies of light industry and the media.
The signing ceremony took place in the framework of the major International exhibition of home textiles and products for interior decoration Heimtextil-2017, organized by Messe Frankfurt.
The aim of the Strategic Partnership is to strengthen the Russian textile and light industry by means of a full-scale cooperation between Messe Frankfurt, with their “Texpertise Network” the worldwide leader in organizing trade fairs for the entire textile industry, and Souzlegprom, including potential organization of joint projects in Russia and abroad.
Within the Partnership, the parties plan to agree on develop and implement a number of actions that are supposed to help Russian textile companies dealing with the textile and light industry to develop their business both in Russia and abroad. The parties plan to unite forces to attract Russian companies to professional textile trade fairs, organized by Messe Frankfurt around the world, as individual exhibitors or within national pavilions, among other projects.
It is noted that receipt of applications from Russian textile companies for participation in international exhibitions will begin next week. They will be offered to form their stands and expositions, to be supported in future by the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade in order to reduce expenses for these activities.
Vice President of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH Olaf Schmidt and managing director of Messe Frankfurt RUS Eugen Alles emphasized that "the modern textile industry requires a thorough knowledge and structure and system planning. In this regard, these activities promote the active, integrated development of the textile industry and its branches. There can be joint exhibition activities and mutually beneficial interaction of large textile enterprises and small businesses in Russia and Germany, who is searching for effective ways for cooperation.
Messe Frankfurt and Souzlegprom also announced their cooperation within the biggest congress-exhibition event “Russian Textile Week”(www.textileweek.ru) that will take place from 20 to 24 February 2017in Moscow at the IEC “Expocentre”.
